About

Hi, I’m Eric.

I’m a maker. I’m a designer and an artist, but both of those attributes are channeled through the act of making. If I was an architect, I’d also have to be the builder. You know what I mean?

I graduated from Biola University with my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree emphasizing in painting and sculpture.

I’ll be attending the new Applied Craft and Design MFA program offered jointly by the Pacific Northwest College of Art and the Oregon College of Art and Design this fall.

I currently live and work in Long Beach, CA, but I’ll be relocating to Portland, Oregon for the next 2 years.

My projects vary greatly in size and scope. Some days I head into the studio and just fiddle with metal and wood, arriving at a new coffee table design at the end of the day. Some days I work on projects for clients which have included: Nike, The Lab, The Camp, Hercules Market Hall, Hurley, The Fox is Black, Poketo, Roland DGA, Champion Power Equipment, Kingman Training, Braedon Flynn, Long Beach Film Company, Delve Clothing, Tosti Studios, Clark Studios, Community, Rosie Posie Baby, and the list continues to grow…

My exquisite wife, Heather, makes life twice as exciting and meaningful.  Together we love treasure hunting, rollerskating, our cat Olive, exploring, traveling, and (re)decorating our house.  I’m sure we share the dream of many couples, but we’d like open up our own shop at some point selling our hand-made goods and a hodge-podge of our collected curios.

This blog serves as a digital archive of what I’m up to – It’s function is largely organizational and rhetorical, assisting my need to process the things I see, with the things I make, and the thoughts that I have about both.

Please email me if you’d like to commission some arts and crafts or see my portfolio work. – etrine@gmail.com
